The Opportunity
Join our team as an Anesthesia General provider in Sault Ste Marie, Michigan, where you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality patient care. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a supportive environment while enjoying the beautiful surroundings of Michigan's Upper Peninsula.
Assignment Details
- Location: Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan
- Start Date: ASAP
- Duration: 3 months with the option to extend
- Schedule: Full-time candidates preferred. Schedule is Monday-Friday - 5x8's, 4x10's, or 5x10's. Room time is 7:15 am. Anesthesia personnel typically arrive between 6:30 - 6:45 am
- Call Requirements: Yes
- Weekend call: one weekend per month.
- Weekday call: 1-2 days per week.
- Setting: Inpatient, OR/Surgery Department
- Credentialing: Typically, 30 days, but applications are prioritized according to start date
- EMR System: EPIC
- Model: Providers work in collaboration with an M.D. Anesthesiologist. Looking for a CRNA that can work independently during regular hours and on call.
- Case Types:
- Mostly outpatient procedures; surgical or endoscopic. Some OB including labor epidurals and c/s, bread and Butter including ortho, endo, gen surg, urology, & ENT
- Nerve block experience is not mandatory but is helpful. Must be able to do OB for labor epidurals and c/s with spinal

Requirements
- Certifications: NBCRNA, AHA BLs, AH ACLS, and AHA PALS
- Licensure: Active MI license required upon submission
- No malpractice/clean background preferred
- Case Log Requirement - 75 patients within the last 12 months
