The Anesthesia Group is based in Parkersburg WV and serves Camden Clark WVU Medicine. The group has 8 MD’s and 15 CRNA’s. The CRNA’s do not do any hearts, regional or labor blocks. This is a full time Monday thru Friday schedule. No Weekends and no call. The group has normal attrition which has cause one or two openings. $85 an hour (OT is paid time and one half) plus travel, car rental, lodging and malpractice. Parkersburg West Virginia is in itself a community of hard working West Virginians with generations of family history and strong core values. It is a tri-city area with Marietta Ohio, Belpre Ohio and Vienna WV as the main cities. There are many small towns around Parkersburg as well. Camden Clark WVU Medicine is the largest employer in town with Public Debt being the second. All checks written by the US Treasury are cut right here in Parkersburg WV! Charleston, the state capital is a one hour drive south and Huntington, home of Marshall University is a two hour drive southwest. Columbus Ohio, a major metro city is two hours to the north east. Charleston and Columbus both have international airports. Huntington has a regional airport and offers regular weekly flights to Florida, Atlanta, New York and the Carolinas. Tampa, Orlando and Myrtle Beach are direct. Parkersburg has its own small regional airport. The medical community is made up of multi ethnic physicians from all over the nation and the world. West Virginia Medicine owns Camden Clark Hospital and is bringing positive renewal and upgrades at a rapid pace. The entire ER and outpatient area have recently been reconstructed into an amazing facility improvement. The main pastimes are community events and outdoor activities. Hunting is a major pastime in WV. The state has beautiful hills and mountains and green trees that cover the landscape 8 months out of the year. The colors of fall are breathtaking. Marietta Ohio is historical, going back over 240 years, and has a few very nice restaurants and shopping. Water activities and boating are popular in Marietta. The famous Blennerhassett Hotel and State Park are in Parkersburg. Shopping and entertainment are one to two hours away. Parkersburg has a small mall and many chain restaurants. Great schools and two rival high schools with major football programs at both. A few private schools. There are 4 distinct seasons. The summers are hot and a bit humid and the winters are cold with some snow. Spring and fall are wonderful.
