Full-Time Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist in Northern New Hampshire

?Our Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists, practice independently as part of an all CRNA group. Our CRNAs provide general anesthesia, regional anesthesia, and sedation in our 3 operating rooms, labor and delivery, pain clinic, and cardiology. We provide airway management services to our emergency department, and 5 bed intensive care unit. Ventilation is managed by our inpatient hospitalist service. We offer acute pain services including ultrasound guided peripheral nerve blocks and post-operative epidural management for our surgical patients. Anesthesia provides services for various specialties which include Cardiology, ENT, Gastroenterology, General Surgery, Neurology, OBGYN, Ophthalmology, Orthopedic Surgery, Pain Management, Podiatry, Pulmonology, and Urology.

A typical day at begins with a 0800 first start case, with elective cases ending around 1500. Assignments are made daily by the Chief CRNA. Once cases have been completed, our CRNAs may take call from home. Our facility is currently undergoing a large renovation, and will be transitioning from separate semiprivate bays to private rooms for admission and recovery of our surgical patients.

All CRNAs are categorized as Medical Staff. As such they have voting rights, and are encouraged to be active members of our Medical staff on various committees.

* 1:4 call
* Meditech 6/16 and Mindray A7
* 3 ORs running daily
* 80% Outpatient, 20% Inpatient, 97% Adult, 3% Peds.

Must be licensed by NH Board of Nursing as CRNA. Successful completion of nurse anesthesia educational program accredited by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetist (AANA), the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs (CANAEP) or its predecessor or successor agency. Must possess certification as a CRNA by the Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists (CCNA) or re-certification by the Council or its predecessor or successor agency. Must possess valid narcotics registration (DEA number).

CPR, ACLS, and PALS certification required.
