(Archived) Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) Nurse - LPN or RN, Dayshift
Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated and hard-working Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to work as the Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) Nurse in the medical department at the Berks County Jail in Leesport, PA.
Both full time and part time positions are available for day shift (6:00am-2:30pm) including every other weekend.
Job Responsibilites:
The MAT Nurse will primarily be responsible for administering detox medications and providing drug counseling while ensuring the proper flow of relevant information is communicated to appropriate personnel. Other responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining accurate records of all controlled substances, narcotics and sharps in accordance with applicable state and federal laws
- Observing, reporting, and documenting symptoms, reactions and progress of inmates/patients and participate in the formulation of the plan of care
- Record, retrieve and file medical information in the inmate/patient medical record
This position provides a two week orientation period where you will be training on-the-job and shadowing with the nursing staff.
