Job Description
- Assist with data collection for patients, including medical history, according to established guidelines and report any significant change in patient condition
- Perform patient screening for vital signs, specimens, preventive health measures, immunizations and patient safety
- Implement physician orders according to establish policy and procedures and pharmacy guidelines
- Administer prescribed medications adhering to LPN scope of practice as outlined in State of Alaska Board of Nursing
- Perform nursing procedures to include but not limited to, wound treatment, EKGs, foley insertions, and patient education
- Assist medical staff, team leaders and co-workers to provide an interdisciplinary approach to patient care
Qualifications
- 1-2 years of recent experience
- BLS certification (valid)
- ACLS preferred
- LPN/ diploma/certification
