Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Assisted Living community in Pittsburgh, PA. This role is ideal for an LPN who takes pride in safe medication administration, attentive resident care, and maintaining a calm, reliable presence during both routine care and urgent situations. Key Responsibilities:
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Document medication administration and resident status updates in accordance with facility protocols
- Monitor residents and promptly report any changes in condition to the appropriate clinical staff
- Respond effectively and calmly to medical emergencies
- Receive, verify, and properly store pharmacy-delivered medications
- Maintain medication administration records in compliance with Pennsylvania regulations
- Assist with care planning and support individualized resident care plans
- Provide compassionate, dignity-centered care to all residents
- Support residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed
- Collaborate closely with nurses, caregivers, and other members of the healthcare team
Qualifications:
- Current, active Pennsylvania LPN license
- Experience with medication administration and treatments
- Assisted living or long-term care experience preferred
- Ability to remain calm, organized, and effective in urgent or high-pressure situations
- Flexible availability to work various shifts
