Position Purpose: Provides nursing assistance and patient care to provide for the comfort, safety and personal needs of patients. Assists physicians/physician assistants/nurse practitioners in medical office setting. Performs a variety of patient care duties within the construct of a multidisciplinary patient care team as delegated by physician.

Hours/Shift: Full Time/Days M-F 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
Key Responsibilities:

- Works under the direction of the provider and the Arizona State Nurse Practice Act to provide professional nursing care for clinic patients in compliance with nursing standards and regulations
- Triage patients by phone or in person, receiving and implementing telephone physician orders, maintaining clinical communication in a dynamic environment
- Assists providers and staff in coordinating patient care for both clinic and procedures
- Performs CLIA waived lab tests and obtains specimens
- Performs proficiency testing and runs controls for waived tests
- May perform venipuncture
Qualifications:

- Education: Graduate of a practical or vocational nursing program and High school or Equivalent
- Licensure: Current, valid Arizona LPN license or compact state LPN/LVN license
- Certification: American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification the United States
Work Requirements: Must be able to distinguish appropriate colors, reach and/or work above and below shoulder level, lift to 50 pounds, walk 90% and sit 10% of shift, frequent bending, squatting, kneeling, standing,and communicating. Expected duties have routine exposure to bloodborne pathogens, and possible exposure to chemicals, and radioactive substances.
