Job Title: Certified Nurse Midwife
Location: Chesterton, IN
Salary: $130,000 - $145,000

Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Certified Nurse Midwife to join our healthcare team. The Certified Nurse Midwife will provide comprehensive prenatal, childbirth, and postpartum care to women, as well as gynecological and reproductive health services. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to patient-centered care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide prenatal care, including physical examinations, prenatal screenings, and nutritional counseling, to pregnant women.

  • Assist women during labor and childbirth, managing pain, monitoring maternal and fetal well-being, and facilitating the birthing process.

  • Provide postpartum care to mothers and newborns, including monitoring maternal recovery, assisting with breastfeeding, and addressing postpartum concerns.

  • Offer family planning services, including contraception counseling, contraceptive management, and preconception counseling.

  • Perform routine gynecological exams, including pelvic exams, Pap smears, and breast exams.

  • Diagnose and treat common gynecological conditions, collaborating with other healthcare providers for specialized care when necessary.

  • Educate patients and their families on reproductive health, childbirth, parenting, and wellness.

  • Maintain accurate and thorough medical records, documenting patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in compliance with healthcare regulations.

  • Collaborate with obstetricians, pediatricians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients.

Qualifications:

  • Current certification as a Nurse Midwife by the American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB).

  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing with a specialization in Midwifery from an accredited program.

  • Current Indiana licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN).

  • BLS and ACLS certification.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

  • Strong commitment to patient-centered care and evidence-based practice.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
