Seeking a Certified Nurse-Midwife to join a collaborative OB/GYN practice of MDs, CNMs &
APPs in the Phoenix metro area. We practice in a teaching hospital, providing care to a
predominately underserved, culturally-diverse population. Full time.
Applicant will work both in a clinic and hospital setting.
Good Interpersonal skills and a strong work ethic are needed. Prior experiences in cross-cultural
care, and community service are preferred. Spanish speaking a plus.

linguistically-appropriate manner, while seeking to reduce/eliminate health disparities and cultural

This position requires the following:
 Passion for providing care for diverse vulnerable populations
 Providing Prenatal Care for routine and high risk women
 Triaging pregnant patients presenting to the hospital for a variety of complaints (16-
40+ weeks)
 Interpreting Antepartum Testing results and making management decisions
regarding care of high risk women (in consultation with MFM)
 Educating and Managing women with Diabetes in pregnancy
 Rounding on low risk Postpartum patients
 Working as part of an Integrated Team of physicians and midwives in a high risk
medical-model setting
 Supervising and Educating Residents
 Providing Preventive Health Services
 Counseling patients on all contraceptive options
 Inserting IUDs and Contraceptive Implants
The position would include employment through District Medical Group Inc. (“DMG”) a 400+ physician
multi-specialty group working within Maricopa Integrated Health System (MIHS).
