Job Description
Locum assignment for a board-certified Cardiology Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to provide full-time care at a hospital located in Charleston, WV.
Start date is December 2023. Credentials timeframe is 90 days.
The length of the contract is 3-6 months.
The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 4:00pm. The on-call requirement is 1 weekend per month.
Job details are:
- Patients per day: Mid-level providers do not see more than 18 patients per day.
- Patient population: 18 years and older
- Department description: Cardiology services on Telemetry floor with 2 other mid-level providers and physicians
- EMR system: Cerner
- Special procedures: must be able to do telemetry, which is a tool that allows continuous ECG, RR, SpO2 monitoring while the patient remains active without the restriction of being attached to a bedside cardiac monitor – used to track heart rhythms.
Qualification requirements are:
- Must be board certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
- Must possess a West Virginia state license.
- Must have a DEA registration.
- Must have CSR certification.
- Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in Cardiology.
