Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner with Inpatient Cardiology experience to provide locum coverage in an acute care hospital setting in Burlingame, CA.
This is an excellent opportunity for providers seeking consistent weekday and weekend coverage with potential for extension.
🏥 Job Details:
Specialty: Cardiology – Inpatient
Setting: Acute Care Hospital
Schedule:
Day shifts, 12 hours (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
Includes weekday and weekend coverage
No call
Contract Length: 3+ months (locum assignment with potential extension)
Patient Volume: Approximately 10–15 patients per shift
Patient Population: Adults
Team Support: Collaborative environment with onsite cardiologist and clinic staff
Charting Software: EPIC
Responsibilities:
Provide inpatient cardiology care for adult patients
Conduct physical exams and gather medical history
Diagnose and manage cardiology-related conditions
Prescribe and administer treatments as appropriate
Document and update patient records in EPIC
Collaborate with cardiologists and other medical staff
✅ Requirements:
Active California Nurse Practitioner license (required)
Board Certification: Required
Experience: Prior inpatient cardiology experience strongly preferred
Certifications: ACLS, BLS, DEA
Ability to work independently in an inpatient setting
📋 Credentialing:
Estimated timeframe: ~90 days (expedited options may be available)
Completion of facility-specific forms and verifications required
