NP/PA- Cardiothoracic Surgery locum position in Flagstaff, Arizona (AZ)

Sumo Medical Staffing is recruiting for an experienced Cardiothoracic Surgery Advanced Practice Provider to work locum shifts in Flagstaff, Arizona (AZ) starting 08/10/2026. The role offers on-going coverage and a competitive market rate.

The Cardiothoracic Surgery role:

Location: Flagstaff, Arizona (AZ)

Start date: 08/10/2026- Ongoing

Schedule: Mix of 8-hour day shifts (7a–3p) and call

• Night beeper call (3p–7a) on select weekdays

• 24-hour call shifts (7a–7a) on Sept 5–7

• Approx. 4 days/month plus call coverage

Coverage Dates:

Orientation – Aug 10 and/or Aug 30 7a-3pm 8 hour day

Aug 11 -13: 7a-3pm 8 hour day + week night beeper call 14 hours

Sept 1-4: 7a-3pm 8 hour day + week night beeper call 14 hours

Sept 5 -6 7am-7am 24 hour call

Sept 7 7am-7am 24 hour call (holiday)

Sept 8 7a-3pm 8 hour day + week night beeper call 14 hours

Special Procedures: temporary pacemaker removal, chest tube removal, IABP removal, Aline placement

• 199-bed hospital

• Adult/geriatric patient population

• 10–15 CVICU/step-down patients daily + 1–2 surgeries

• Surgeon support on service

EMR: Cerner

Requirements:

Arizona license, active and unrestricted

NCCPA (PA) or NP certification (ANCC/AANP)

DEA, ACLS, BLS,

3+ years CT surgery experience
