Nurse Practitioner (NP) – Cardiology
Dallas, TX

Overview:
Our cardiology practice serving the Dallas area is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) to manage acute and chronic cardiac conditions for a high-acuity patient population. This full-time role offers a consistent Monday–Friday schedule within a collaborative cardiology team.

Position Offers:

  • Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM; Friday, 8:30 AM–3:00 PM
  • Competitive salary: $140,000–150,000 per year (DOE)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive history and physical examinations for acute cardiology patients, including complex and high-acuity presentations
  • Conduct morning hospital rounding for follow-up visits prior to clinic hours, and participate in a 1:4 call rotation
  • Formulate and implement evidence-based treatment plans in collaboration with cardiologists and the care team
  • Interpret and integrate diagnostic tests and imaging (e.g., ECGs, echocardiograms, stress tests, cardiac CT/MRI, labs) into clinical decision-making
  • Manage acute and chronic cardiac conditions, including medication titration, procedural preparation and follow-up, and ongoing monitoring
  • Document all patient encounters, assessments, interventions, and care plans in the EHR
  • Provide patient and family education on diagnoses, treatment options, procedures, medications, and lifestyle modifications
  • Coordinate transitions of care, including admissions, discharges, and follow-up planning, across the Dallas and Rockwall locations

Qualifications:

  • Master's or Doctorate in Nursing from an accredited NP program, focused in Acute Care, Adult-Gerontology Acute Care, or a related specialty
  • Current Texas NP (APRN) licensure or eligibility; national ACNP or AGACNP certification preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in cardiology, pulmonology, nephrology, or vascular surgery
  • Proven proficiency interpreting diagnostic tests and cardiac imaging, with strong EHR documentation skills
  • Excellent communication skills and flexibility to manage a high-volume, fast-paced acute care environment, including rounding and call
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required for weekly travel between locations
