Job Description
Seeking a Full-Time Permanent Nurse Practitioner to join a Neurocritical Care Team!
The successful candidate will perform admissions and discharges, histories, physical exams, ongoing patient assessments, daily rounding, and ICU procedures (arterial lines, central lines, and intubation).
Position Highlights:
- Hospital privileges at a level 1 trauma center and certified primary stroke center.
- Multidisciplinary team including 10 neurosurgeons, 10 neurologists, and a neurointensivist
- 15+ bed NSICU expanding soon
- Supervising physician is an experience neurointensivist
- Ability to perform ICU procedures
- Inpatient only
- No Call

The Neuroscience program uses a multidisciplinary approach to provide a range of services to include diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of patients with neurological disorders. The hospital has excellent staff in nursing, radiology, general neurosurgery, endovascular neurosurgery and intervention, neurospine surgery and neurology.
This position is with an academic medical center in the heart of Eastern North Carolina. It's conveniently located just over an hour from Raleigh and the Outer Banks. Cost of living is low and there is affordable housing options and public and private school options.
