Great opportunity available for an experienced Physician Assistant / Family Nurse Practitioner to join an Emergency Medicine department located in the beautiful Finger Lakes Region of Upstate NY. This is a permanent and full-time employed position. Committed to providing all our providers with state-of-the-art practice settings along with full support staff. We are a clinical campus for medical students from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (Elmira campus) and offer numerous Residency and Fellowship training programs on-site.

Candidates must be a graduate of an approved masters level program with national certification and current NYS professional license.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality care to patients in the Observation Unit.
  • Assist in the rural Emergency Department alongside ED physicians.
  • Conduct assessments, diagnostic testing, and treatment plans.
  • Manage and monitor patients' care throughout their stay in the hospital.
  • Collaborate with a close-knit team to deliver excellent patient outcomes.
  • Ensure proper documentation and patient communication.

Qualifications:

  • Current NY state license as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA).
  • New graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Previous experience in Emergency Medicine or Acute Care preferred but not required.
  • Strong clinical and communication skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
