Job Description
• Coverage needed per month : varies; 12-hour shifts; schedules for October – November will be released in August/September and remaining dates will be sent out to locums for coverage.
• Frequency of any Call needed: none
• Start and End Date: ongoing
o Schedule Details: (start / end times, days of the week, etc): Sunday/Saturday 0900-2100; M-F 0800-2000, 1000-2200
Work Details:
• Support staff: attending physicians, nursing staff, care partner
• Department Description: The Emergency Department is a busy, high-acuity service within an academic medical center and Level I Trauma Center. The department provides comprehensive emergency care to a diverse adult patient population through a collaborative, team-based model involving emergency physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing, and ancillary services. APPs play an essential role in maintaining patient flow, reducing wait times, and delivering high-quality, evidence-based emergency care. APPs care for patients in the up-front triage/MSE space and our moderate-acuity space (including ESI Level 3). Annual patient visits ~50,000.

• Special Procedures/Unit Details: Simple laceration repair, Incision and drainage of uncomplicated abscesses, Foreign body removal, Splinting and immobilization, Wound management
