Job Type: Full-Time

Shift & Schedule: 4x10; Monday - Thursday; Day Shift; Single Location

Description of Position

Our practice is the oldest and most decorated endocrinology group practice in the Las Vegas valley. We provide high quality consultative endocrine care for adults with a full spectrum of endocrine disorders in a suburban, outpatient setting.

The essence of this job it to provide ongoing care for patients with endocrine disorders including diabetes mellitus, obesity, osteoporosis and metabolic bone diseases as well as pituitary, adrenal, thyroid, gonadal and parathyroid disorders. Our Advanced Practice Professionals (APP) work in a group setting with an on-site supervising physician that is always available to provide backup on complex cases.

All our APP provide high-quality diagnostic evaluation, management, and ongoing care for patients with endocrine disorders. Expectations of APP include proficiency in all aspects of diabetes technology, including initiating and managing insulin pump therapy, continuous glucose monitors. Proficiency is expected in cutting-edge diabetes therapeutics and insulin delivery systems (including inhaled insulin and smart pens and the insertion/removal of implantable glucose sensors). Candidates should be proficient in providing patients with basic diabetes education regarding diet, exercise, and diabetes self-management. Additionally, our APP are expected to perform neck ultrasound using our state-of-the-art in-house equipment as well a performing ultrasound-guided fine-needle aspiration biopsies of thyroid nodules and cervical lymph nodes. Fluency in the interpretation of DEXA scans and liver elastography (Fibroscan) will be required. Experience in these skills is preferred but formal training can be provided to well-qualified applicants, giving them the opportunity to become expert in all aspects of endocrine care.
