Job Description

A Bakersfield, California based client is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide compassionate primary patient care to patients of all ages. An ideal candidate is motivated, collaborative, and works well in an interdisciplinary team. This clinic is a fast-paced environment and providers are responsible for medical services to all ages.

Required Qualifications

• CA medical license as NP or PA
• Master’s Degree (MSN), Doctoral Degree (DNP); Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies or equivalent
• Current NP board certification by ANCC/AANP or PA certification
• CPR certification

Preferred Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience
• Bilingual in Spanish and English

Responsibilities

• Assess and diagnose a variety of diseases and injuries in patients of all ages
• Perform therapeutic procedures, including preventative care and follow up
• Arrange referrals, consultations, and therapeutic services
• Attend and collaborate in staff meetings
• Share on-call responsibilities with other providers
• Responsible for Maternal and child Health Case Management as required
• Work within evidence based medicine at all times to provide the best possible care
• Chart review and document all patient encounters efficiently and according to organization policy and JCAHO standards
