Need: NP/PA Acute Care
When: ASAP (60-day credentialing) and ongoing
Setting: Inpatient
Shift: scheduled clinic and call (2 consults when on call), ratio 1:4, call back 25%
Patients per shift 8-12, rounding on assigned patients
Trauma level 3
The position will not require OR first assist immediately. We have had issues with our most recent locum coverage not being able to get rounding/consults done in a timely manner and therefore have not been comfortable putting those providers in the OR. We would like to do so, but that will be determined after the individual has started with us. Primary procedures requiring first assist would be spine.
It will involve hospital coverage only. This includes ICU/floors, rounding on existing patients daily (including discharges), new ED and inpatient consults. The list can range from 5-15 patients daily, but slower in the fall/winter seasons as we are adjacent to a beach/vacation town and are busier in the summertime.
Shift for M-F coverage is 8a-5p. There is also a minimum of 5 call shifts (weekday 5p-8a and 24hr weekend) Our weekends run Fri 5p-Mon 8a (for midlevels and surgeons).

Must have MD license, DEA
