(Archived) Locum Primary Care Nurse Practitioner- Atlanta, GA
Job Description
Locum (to possible perm) opportunity for a Primary Care Nurse Practitioner to provide full-time care to children and adults at a primary care clinic within a hospital located in Atlanta, GA. Must be willing to be trained to work with HIV candidates and Integrated BH. These will not be the primary duties but may be asked to cover in these areas of the clinic.
Coverage dates are ASAP and ongoing.
Shifts are 8 hours, 7:00am to 5:00pm. Some weekend events may be required. There are no on-call requirements. Must be able to work a minimum of 32 to 40 hours per week.
The work site is an outpatient, primary care clinic that services underserved patients. Must be able to care for all age groups. 10-12 patients per day. EMR system is EPIC. This position examines, makes diagnoses, dispenses medication, and makes referrals as appropriate. The Nurse Practitioner coordinates care with other health and social services professionals to ensure comprehensive care for the patient. Consult with medical director as needed. They can use the medical director prescription privileges only after consulting and being approved by her or his designed. The Primary Care Nurse Practitioner will be assigned to provide care to HIV clients following training provided by Mercy Care.
Qualification requirements are:
- Active GA state license
- AANP certification
- 2 or more years of primary care/urgent care/clinical/ER experience as a Nurse Practitioner are required.
- Bilingual in Spanish is desired.
- BLS certification
- Must have proof of COVID vaccination.
- Experience with HIV is highly desirable.
