Nurse Practitioner – Occupational Health

Location: Cambridge, MA area
Job Type: Full Time, 8AM-5PM, M-F
Salary: $120,000 – $160,000k/annual plus full benefits!

POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner – Occupational Health to join our team. This provider will be responsible for pre-employment screenings, treatment of work-related injuries and exposures, fitness-for-duty evaluations, and routine employee health assessments. As the sole provider in this setting, the ideal candidate must be confident working independently and delivering high-quality, comprehensive occupational health care.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide direct care, assessment, treatment, and follow-up for occupational health patients
  • Conduct physical exams and administer preventive health services
  • Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests and labs
  • Develop and implement patient care plans based on clinical findings
  • Maintain accurate documentation and facilitate interdisciplinary communication
  • Educate patients and employees on wellness, prevention, and health maintenance
  • Identify and help patients utilize community health resources
  • Participate in quality improvement and clinical research activities

REQUIREMENTS:

Must-Haves:

  • Active Nurse Practitioner License (NP)
  • BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Registered with the State of Massachusetts and DEA for prescribing privileges
  • Certified by the ANCC or equivalent credentialing organization
  • Must be comfortable functioning as the only provider in the occupational health setting
  • Minimum of 3 years of current nursing experience and 2 years in adult practice
  • Need experience in Urgent Care, Sports Medicine, or Emergency, Or Occupational Health

Nice-To-Haves:

  • Familiarity with OSHA regulations and workplace safety programs
  • Background in education, staff training, or patient resource development
  • Experience participating in quality improvement initiatives or clinical research
