Critical Care Opportunity in Maryland

Sumo Medical Staffing is looking for an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) to provide coverage in Cumberland, MD. The experienced provider will need to have inpatient experience working with ICU patients, including admissions.

Level III

Looking for 10-14 shifts per month, possibly more

Patient Census - 8

Daily responsibilities: providers will manage the day-to-day needs of post-operative cardiovascular patients as well as general sick patients, write daily progress notes, round on patients alongside nursing and surgical teams multiple times per night, and enter/initiate appropriate orders for the patient population. They will also be responsible for transferring patients as necessary and interpreting labs and imaging to act upon those results.

18 bed ICU Unit

Requirements

• MD license
• Must be comfortable with the full scope of critical care medicine, as the unit does accommodate some open-heart patients.
• Board Certified as a Nurse Practitioner
• DEA
• BLS, ACLS
