NEW Primary Care Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant Opening

Location: Northern Maine (community-based practice)
Job Type: Full-time | Monday–Friday (occasional weekends as needed)

About the Role

We are seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join a mission-driven primary care team in Northern Maine. This position offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care in a supportive rural health setting while enjoying the lifestyle benefits of small-town living.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver primary and preventive care across the lifespan

  • Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions

  • Provide health education, counseling, and wellness promotion

  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and care team members for integrated care

  • Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential patient records

  • Refer patients to specialists and coordinate community health resources as needed

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited NP or PA program (MSN preferred for NPs)

  • Active State of Maine NP or PA license (or ability to obtain)

  • National certification (AANP, NCCPA, or equivalent)

  • Current CPR and ACLS required

  • Clean criminal/DHHS background check

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between clinics
