Inpatient Vascular Surgical Advanced Practice Provider opportunity in Syracuse, New York

Sumo Medical Staffing is recruiting an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for an Inpatient Vascular Surgical Advanced Practice Provider opportunity in Syracuse, New York. Starting 1 month from offer,; this role offers ongoing work with a competitive market rate and benefits. This full-time assignment supports an adult and geriatric inpatient surgical service with rounding, first assisting, and overnight emergency call coverage.

Assignment Details:

• Location: Syracuse, NY
• Setting: Inpatient Hospital (No Clinic)
• Coverage Dates: ASAP – 3 months minimum
• Schedule: Full-time, varied shifts (days/nights/evenings/weekends)
• Call: 1–2 nights per week as needed, overnight emergency OR call from home
• Patient Population: Adult/Geriatric
• Average Census: 15–20 service patients, rounding on 3–5 daily
• Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 1 month

Responsibilities Include:

• Inpatient rounding and daily patient management
• Pre-operative physical exams
• Diagnosing and treating illnesses
• Ordering and interpreting tests
• Care coordination and discharge planning
• Writing prescriptions
• Surgical first assisting
• Intraoperative first assist support
• Suture removal
• Removal of dialysis catheters
