Locum CVSICU Nurse Practitioner

Palm Health Resources is hiring experienced Cardiovascular ICU Advanced Practice Providers in Baltimore, MD for a 36-month Locum Contract!

The Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant will work in the Cardiovascular ICU at a very high acuity facility, full time, 40 hours per week, 1213-hour shifts from 6am-6pm or 6pm-6am on a rotating basis.

Procedures include but not limited to: Chest/Blake tube and epicardial wire removal, IABP removal, bronchoscopy, Swan and NDT placement, central and arterial line placement (including large-bore and VAD access), and rewiring of central vascular access.

Must be a BC Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. ** Provider must have CVSICU experience, line placement competency proof and experience with transplant, VAD, ECMO, etc.

Job Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to assess, diagnose, and manage critically ill patients in the CVSICU.

Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans, and evaluate patient responses to interventions.

Perform invasive procedures, including but not limited to central line placement, arterial line placement, and chest tube insertion.

Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding their condition, treatment options, and discharge planning.

Participate in quality improvement initiatives and research projects to enhance patient care and outcomes in the CVSICU
