NP/PA OBGYN - Colorado

Sumo Medical Staffing is recruiting for an experienced Obstetrics and Gynecology APP to work locums fulltime in Colorado Springs, CO

Candidates MUST be an NP or PA (CNM will not be accepted for this position)

Schedule: Primarily Clinic: 8am-5pm Monday- Friday, some hospital coverage

Ideally would like a provider to offer full-time coverage

Call Schedule: 1 in 5 days, 1 in 10 overnight and weekend.

CASE LOAD

Low risk pregnancy: 70%

High risk pregnancy: 10%

C-Section: 30%

Office GYN: 10%

Surgical GYN: 10%

Response time: Minimum

Average number of patients per physician per day: Clinic: 20

Average number of deliveries per physician per week: 3

Average number of GYN surgeries per week: Clinic 8

How many OB/GYNs in your group? 5

Mid-levels? 2

Locum tenens expected to supervise other healthcare providers? No

Will other OB/GYNs be present during our locum tenens coverage? Yes

Lab onsite: Yes

Ultrasound onsite: Yes

Ultrasounds performed by: Tech

Number of exam rooms: 11

Office ancillary staff: 2 RN: 1 LPN: 6 MA; 3 PAS; 1 surgery scheduler

Describe office equipment: Colonoscopy; LEEP; US; NST

HOSPITAL SERVICES

Will Locum tenens require hospital coverage: Yes

Total number of beds: 413

Trauma Level: 1

Will locum tenens be involved in covering/supervising teaching services? No

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

Low risk pregnancy- PT's with pre-existing problems, history of twins, history of toxemia, pyelonephritis, hyperemesis, etc.

FHR interpretation- NST/CST/FSE

Level I/screening (viability)

Routine delivery- vaginal, low forceps, decision-making for a C-section

Complicated delivery - C-section, breech, multiple births, abruptions, etc.

VBAC's

Repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

High risk pregnancy- PT. with toxemia, diabetes, Class II or higher Cardiacs, chronic lung problems, chronic renal disease, etc.

Performs OB ultrasounds

Interprets OB ultrasounds

Level II/targeted (anatomic)

Office/minor gynecology- IUD, Cystoscopy, colposcopy, cryosurgery, LEEP, etc.

The Obstetrics and Gynecology role:

• OBGYN locum role - minimum of 4 shifts per month/24 hours only and will be to provide GYN coverage for emergent cases.
• Obstetrics and Gynecology role - NICU level III and there is no requirement to perform circumcisions.

· Estimated deliveries is 300 per annum and you will be supported by MFM onsite (tele) and in-house anesthesia.

Requirements of the Obstetrics and Gynecology role:

• CO state license; active, unrestricted
• Board certified
• BLS, ACLS, NRP
