Sumo Medical Staffing is recruiting an experienced Cardiac Surgery Nurse Practitioner First Assist for locum tenens coverage in Loveland, Colorado (CO). Starting in September 2026, the role offers ongoing work with a competitive market rate and benefits.

Details:

• Full-time schedule, four 10-hour shifts per week

• Call required one night per week and one weekend per month

• Cardiac Surgery First Assist role in Operating Room setting

• One to three surgeries per day

• Adult patient population only

• Work alongside five surgeons and established cardiac surgery team

• Level One Trauma Center with 300 beds and 12-bed Cardiac Intensive Care Unit

• Responsibilities include first assist in coronary artery bypass grafting, valve repair and replacement, aneurysm repair, and thoracic procedures

• Experience required in endoscopic vein harvesting and radial artery harvesting

• Exposure to advanced procedures including ventricular assist devices and thoracic surgeries

Requirements:

• Active Colorado license

• Proficiency in Cardiac Surgery First Assist procedures including coronary artery bypass grafting with endoscopic vein harvesting and radial artery harvesting
