Trauma Surgery Advance Practice Provider

Sumo Medical Staffing is recruiting an experienced Trauma Surgery Advance Practice Provider for locum tenens coverage in Columbia, South Carolina (SC). Starting July 20, 2026, the role offers a 13-week assignment with a competitive market rate and benefits.

Details:

• Day shift only, 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM

• Eleven-hour shifts with no call required

• Adult Trauma Surgery service with occasional pediatric patients

• Average daily census 10–12 patients

• Responsibilities include trauma surgery coverage and receiving trauma transfers from outside facilities

• Burn patients transferred out

• Level One Trauma environment with collaborative surgical support

Requirements:

• Active South Carolina license preferred

• Board Certification required
