Family Practice Nurse Practitioner – Malone, NY
Location: Malone, New York
Assignment: Locum Opportunity
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Setting: Correctional Health
We are seeking a Family Practice Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive primary care services within a correctional facility in Malone, NY. This role offers a diverse scope of practice while working with a collaborative healthcare team.
Highlights
- Monday–Friday schedule with no nights or weekends
- Provide comprehensive primary care in a correctional medicine setting
- Manage both acute and chronic medical conditions
- Order and interpret diagnostic testing, imaging, labs, EKGs, and X-rays
- Prescribe medications and coordinate ongoing patient care
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat acute and chronic medical conditions
- Coordinate specialty referrals and post-hospital follow-up care
- Manage patients receiving Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) for OUD
- Provide emergency stabilization of injuries when needed
- Monitor infectious disease treatment protocols
- Collaborate with behavioral health and outside agencies to coordinate care
Requirements
- Family Nurse Practitioner
- Active New York license
- Comfortable practicing independently in a correctional healthcare environment
- Experience in primary care, urgent care, emergency medicine, correctional medicine, or internal medicine preferred
