Pay: Starting at $85 per hour

Overview:
Our medical practice in Vacaville is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) for a coverage assignment providing medical weight loss care to adult patients. You will assess patients and manage their treatment plans to support sustainable weight reduction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct initial and follow-up assessments for patients in medical weight loss programs
• Develop and adjust individualized weight management plans, including pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic interventions
• Initiate, titrate, and monitor therapies including semaglutide, tirzepatide, phentermine, phendimetrazine, and B12 injections
• Evaluate treatment response and monitor for adverse effects, modifying regimens as needed
• Educate patients on medication use, nutrition, and lifestyle change, and answer questions about weight loss
• Order and interpret labs and diagnostics to monitor metabolic health
• Perform sports physicals
• Document accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR) and collaborate with clinical staff

Qualifications:

• Active, current Nurse Practitioner (NP) licensure in California
• Active Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration
• Comfort managing semaglutide, tirzepatide, phentermine, phendimetrazine, and B12 therapies
• Experience with medical weight management and GLP-1 medications preferred
