Setting: Emergency Room Need
Location: Northeast North Carolina
Must have practiced Emergency Medicine in the past 12 months.
Coverage Needed: - as soon as provider is credentialed, 7-12 shifts a month.
(7a-5p and 7p-5a) APP expected to work variety of shifts.
Required certifications if NOT EM trained (no exceptions): ACLS, ATLS & PALS
Highlights include:
- Outpatient
- No call, but some night and weekend shifts
- 26-bed emergency department with 6 designated Psych beds
- 4-bed convenient care staffed by one Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant and an RN or Paramedic
- EPIC
- 24-hour Hospitalist and Radiology coverage
- Procedures: suturing, assessments, radiology, lab and CT interpretation, foreign body removal, limited ophthalmology, muscular skeletal, infectious processes
Requirements -
Must have at least one year in Emergency Medicine - (current)
ACLS, ATLS, BLS, PALS - Required - Unless EM specific training -NO EXCEPTIONS!
DEA
