(Archived) Experienced Nurse Practitioner Opportunity in Rural Central Washington
Job Description
Position Summary:
Immediate Nurse Practitioner opening with a solid 5+ years of family medicine experience, ultimately continual experience in the same clinic/location with longitudinal care experience. This is a solo practice with a physician extender model. The position is 5 days per week M-F. Phone call once every 4 weeks. General procedures required including sutures, mole removals, skin biopsies, toenail removal, etc. Bilingual in English / Spanish is a large plus.
Position Reports To: Reports to Practice Manager.
Essential Functions:
- Perform examinations on new and existing patients. Establish presumptive diagnoses, order appropriate studies and manage the patient’s care as a member of the health care team.
- Writes prescriptions and performs procedures within the scope of expertise, protocols, and available equipment.
- Educates patients and families and helps them understand issues related to physical and emotional health and promotes wellness.
- Maintains accurate and complete patient records in compliance with organizational policy.
- Refers patients to specialty services when appropriate.
- Provides professional medical services within the scope of training and responsibility, in compliance with applicable laws, regulations and organizational policies.
- Support physicians with on-call responsibilities and hospital rounds.
- Required to maintain active Basic Life Support (CPR) certification.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Required:
- Active or Interim Washington State Nurse Practitioner License, required by start date.
- 5 years experience
- Must be able to work alone in a rural setting
