(Archived) Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Needed 45 minutes from Boston
Job Description
Currently recruiting for a full time Nurse Practitioner to work in our Psychiatry Department at the hospital campus.
Requirements include demonstrated application of the knowledge, skills and abilities to:
- work independently as indicated under MD supervision
- Evaluate & assess diagnostically and develop treatment plans and recommendations for patients with a wide range of psychiatric disorders, clinical presentations, and severities.
- Ability to work effectively with multiple disciplines, including other psychiatric and also med-surg and emergency department personnel.
- Experience in an acute care psychiatric system is preferable, as is experience in a general hospital.
- Effective oral and written communication skills in clinical role and in a continuous- improvement workplace
- Effective team-member in providing psychiatric care in an acute general hospital environment.
- Skilled with performing ED evals/tx, med-surg psychiatric consultations, and helping intermittently with the inpatient psychiatric unit and outpatient PHP.
- Licensed in MA at level of RNCS with prescribing capacity and demonstrated success in prior similar clinical midlevel practitioner role.
The position is scheduled to work day shifts with some weekends and holidays. A competitive benefit and compensation package is available with CME and Licensure Reimbursements
