Job Description

We are currently working with the University of Illinois, and they are seeking coverage for June, 28-August 22. FNP with EM and/or Sickle Cell Experience

• •Seeking coverage for June 28-August 22
• •Monday to Friday; 8a-5p
• •Average of 5-7 patients
• •Seeing Sickle Patients
• •Ages 12 years and up
• •Support Team is RN, Techs, Hem MD available
• •Area serves as an ED-type unit - pts are escorted to this unit from the ED.
• •NP will do Hx, physical exam, write-up, set up treatment plan to include pain control with narcotics (CSR & DEA required) & fluid levels (normal saline, bloodwork, IV)
• •NP orders IV and RNs manage.
• •Usually treated for about 4 hrs then released.
• •Occasionally they are admitted.
• •EMR: EPIC
