Nurse Practitioner – Internal Medicine | Lakeland, FL (Near Tampa) | Monday–Friday

An internal medicine practice in Lakeland, Florida, just outside Tampa, is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join its team. Position Offers

• Competitive pay: $120,000+ per year, depending on experience
• Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
• Light call schedule: 1 week on, 8 weeks off

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary and internal medicine care, including assessments, diagnosis, and treatment of acute and chronic conditions
• Manage chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, and heart disease
• Perform annual wellness exams and preventive screenings
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and lab results
• Prescribe medications and develop individualized treatment plans
• Educate patients on health maintenance, disease management, and treatment plans
• Collaborate with physicians and the care team to coordinate patient care
• Document patient encounters accurately and in a timely manner in the electronic health record

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
• Active, unrestricted Florida NP license
• Current national NP board certification
• Current BLS certification
• Experience in family medicine, internal medicine, geriatrics, or primary care preferred
• Strong communication and patient care skills
