Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to provide locum services in a Level IV NICU setting in Richmond, VA.
This is an excellent opportunity for an NNP with advanced NICU experience looking for full-time day coverage starting March 2, 2026.
🏥 Job Details:
Specialty: Neonatology – Level IV NICU
Setting: Acute Care Hospital
Schedule:
Full-time, Monday–Friday
7:00 AM – 5:00 PM (10-hour day shifts)
No call required
Contract Length: 6 months (potential to extend)
Start Date: March 2, 2026
Responsibilities:
Manage and care for infants with a wide range of gestational ages and diagnoses in a Level IV NICU
Provide L&D delivery support and newborn nursery consults (no prenatal consults)
Perform advanced NICU procedures: umbilical vein and artery catheterization, thoracentesis, lumbar puncture, endotracheal intubation
Document care in Epic EMR
✅ Requirements:
Active Virginia NP license (compact accepted)
Board Certification in Neonatology
Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP
DEA required
Minimum 2 years recent Level IV NICU experience
Epic EMR experience preferred
📋 Credentialing:
Estimated timeframe: ~30–60 days
Completion of facility-specific forms and verifications required
Interview with department leadership
