Neonatal & Nursery NP Needed in Oakland, CA

Start: October
Contract Length: 26 weeks
Full-time: 3x12-hour shifts per week
Days, nights, weekends, and holidays required

Practice Details:

* Hospital setting
* Level IV NICU
* Care for newborns and infants from birth to 1 year of age
* May provide coverage at one or both Level IV NICUs
* May be cross-trained to cover the Newborn Nursery
* EMR: Epic
* Oakland NICU: 38 beds
* San Francisco NICU: 58 beds

Clinical Responsibilities:

* Provide comprehensive inpatient neonatal care
* Manage critically ill newborns and infants with cardiac, pulmonary, gastrointestinal, and other complex surgical conditions
* Function as a primary member of the neonatal care team
* ECMO patients managed by the NICU Fellow, though providers may care for patients before and immediately after ECMO

Requirements:

* Board Certified Neonatal Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
* Active California license
* California DEA required
* BLS and NRP required
* NNP-BC certification required for NNPs
* Master's in PA Studies or Medical Science required for PAs
* Minimum 2–3 years of Level III/IV NICU experience
* Medicare and Medicaid enrollment required before the first clinical day
