Near Plano, Texas
Overview:
Our neurosurgery practice near Plano is seeking a Nurse Practitioner with RNFA certification to split time between the operating room and clinic. This role involves first-assisting on spine and brain surgeries alongside clinic-based patient care in close collaboration with the neurosurgeon.
Position Offers:
- Schedule: Monday–Friday
- Competitive salary: $125,000–$145,000 annually (DOE)

Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as first assistant to the neurosurgeon during spine and brain surgeries
- See patients ahead of the physician in clinic and consult with the surgeon on findings
- Manage medication refills for patients
- Provide patient education
- Assist with physician charting and documentation
- Round on hospitalized patients during on-call weeks
Qualifications:
- Active, current Nurse Practitioner licensure in Texas
- RNFA certification, active DEA registration, and ACLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of surgery experience
- Additional neurology or neurosurgery-related continuing education or certifications preferred
