Nurse Practitioner (NP)
Near Plano, Texas

Overview:
Our neurosurgery practice near Plano is seeking a Nurse Practitioner with RNFA certification to split time between the operating room and clinic. This role involves first-assisting on spine and brain surgeries alongside clinic-based patient care in close collaboration with the neurosurgeon.

Position Offers:

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday
  • Competitive salary: $125,000–$145,000 annually (DOE)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as first assistant to the neurosurgeon during spine and brain surgeries
  • See patients ahead of the physician in clinic and consult with the surgeon on findings
  • Manage medication refills for patients
  • Provide patient education
  • Assist with physician charting and documentation
  • Round on hospitalized patients during on-call weeks

Qualifications:

  • Active, current Nurse Practitioner licensure in Texas
  • RNFA certification, active DEA registration, and ACLS certification required
  • Minimum 2 years of surgery experience
  • Additional neurology or neurosurgery-related continuing education or certifications preferred
