Job Description
A growing practice in Washington County, Maryland is looking to add a Physician Assistant to their existing neurology team. This PA/NP will treat patients in a clinic setting Monday- Friday with no weekend requirements. Conditions treated include: Headaches, Epilepsy, stroke, dizziness, multiple sclerosis, dementias, Parkinson’s disease, disorders of balance, peripheral neuropathies, and more. Outstanding compensation and benefits available with light call by phone only. Prior experience preferred but sharp new graduates with relevant rotations and ties to the Hagerstown, MD and/or Geencastle, PA area.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and treat acute, episodic or chronic illnesses
- Prescribe all necessary medications and treatments
- Perform comprehensive physical examinations of patients
- Develop and implement patient management policies and procedures
- Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities
- Communicate with collaborating physician or specialist regarding patient care
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in nursing or other medical fields
- Ability to build rapport with patients
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong leadership qualities
