Job Title: Contract Nurse Practitioner

Location: Near Beaumont, TX

Job Type: Long-term Travel Contract

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team near Beaumont, TX on a long-term travel contract. The ideal candidate will have expertise in evaluating and treating work-related illnesses and injuries, conducting occupational health exams, and managing comprehensive treatment plans. This role requires ensuring immediate and appropriate medical care, as well as maintaining compliance with health standards and documentation requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

- Evaluate and Treat Work-Related Illnesses and Injuries:
- Provide immediate assessment, stabilization, and treatment for employees injured or ill on the job.
- Ensure appropriate medical care and documentation is conducted for all cases.
- Conduct Occupational Health Exams:
- Perform physicals, return-to-work, fitness-for-duty, and surveillance evaluations.
- Ensure compliance with workplace health standards and regulations.
- Order and Interpret Diagnostic Tests:
- Utilize labs, imaging, EKGs, pulmonary function tests, and audiograms.
- Support accurate diagnosis and clinical decision-making.
- Prescribe and Manage Treatment Plans:
- Develop evidence-based treatment plans.
- Prescribe medications within the scope of practice.
- Coordinate follow-up care or referrals as needed.
- Maintain Accurate Medical Records and Ensure Compliance:
- Document all clinical encounters in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
- Uphold regulatory standards through routine audits and best practices.

Qualifications:

- Valid Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Texas.
- Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner (AGNP) preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in occupational health or a related field.
- Proficient in conducting occupational health exams and emergency medical care.
- Strong skills in ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
