Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to provide locum coverage in an orthopedic trauma and fracture setting in Boise, ID.
This is an excellent opportunity for an APP looking for short-term coverage starting March 2, 2026.
🏥 Job Details:
Specialty: Orthopedic Surgery – Trauma & Fracture
Setting: Acute Care Hospital
Schedule:
Coverage includes OR and inpatient rounding on scheduled dates
Some PM call on select dates
Sample dates: 3/2, 3/3, 3/5, 3/6, 3/9, 3/10, 3/19, 3/20, 4/2, 4/10, 4/16, 4/17, 4/30
Additional dates likely
Contract Length: Approximately 9 weeks
Start Date: March 2, 2026 (credentialing required)
Charting Software: Epic
Support Staff: Orthopedic surgeons and inpatient team
Procedures: OR assistance and inpatient rounding; must be comfortable charting and managing post-op patients
✅ Requirements:
Active Idaho NP license (required; insufficient time to license unless compact)
Certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA only)
Minimum orthopedic surgery experience with trauma and fracture cases
Epic EMR experience preferred
📋 Credentialing:
Estimated timeframe: ~30–40 days
Completion of facility-specific forms and verifications required
