Nurse Practitioner (NP) - Roswell, NM

Are you looking for a new opportunity? I’m working with a diabetes clinic in Roswell NM, and we’re looking for a Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join us full-time and part-time onsite or a remote position that is part-time (3 days a week: Mon, Thurs, Fri). You will see 12-15 patients per day.

New Grads encouraged to apply! No experience in diabetes is needed, training will be provided!

We need an NP to diagnose and treat Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, as well as educate and promote good health practices. We are looking for an NP who has already been individually credentialed. Our model of care is to have our providers form strong relationships with their patients.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct physical exams, interpret lab tests, and oversee patients’ health.
• You’ll be both a health practitioner and an educator, supporting disease prevention practices and helping people lead healthy lives.
• As an NP, you’ll have to work closely with other healthcare professionals. Patience, problem-solving skills and communication ability are important.
• Dedicated to advancing your knowledge and clinical expertise through research and professional discourse.

Qualifications:

• One year’s experience but not necessary.
• Must be teachable to learn patient care model.
• Diet and nutrition education.
• Knowledgeable of medication class and side effects
• Comfortable utilizing and maintaining records with an EHR.
• Prescribe medications.
• Maintain accurate records and schedules.
• Inform patients about their health conditions and prescribed medications.
• Promote good health practices.
• Knowledge of health and patient care regulations
