Job Description
NP/Coumadin Therapy (anticoagulatin therapy) - Southern OR.
Client seeking Nurse Practitioner to work at two locations.This is a 0.75 FTE position working 60 hrs/pay period. Shifts are 10 hours. NP will provide professional health services through providing assessment, diagnosis, education and/or treatment for acute and chronic health problems along with preventive care. Provides care in a manner consistent with policies and procedures.
Education: Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
License / Certification: Nurse Practitioner (NP) licensed by the Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN) required. Registered Nurse (RN) licensed by Oregon State Board of Nursing required. Must obtain and maintain medical staff membership and appropriate privileges this includes but is not limited to, holding position-specific certifications/memberships as determined by Client’s Medical Staff team (i.e. ACLS, BLS, PALS, etc.); Must be eligible as a provider for Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal health programs; Physician shall meet all qualifications to participate in hospital's programs for professional malpractice and other liability coverage.
Experience: Must have experience providing care for clients requiring anticoagulation therapy using Coumadin, administering Coumadin according to current evidence-based standards of practice.
Other Qualifications: Ability to analyze problems, recognize causes, devise and implement solutions; and demonstrated interpersonal skills to represent department through actions and behaviors showing consideration and respect for internal and external customers.
