Job Description
VeloSource has a Pediatrics opportunity open to either a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
- Active PA License Required
- DEA Required: Yes
- Board Status: Board Certified, Board Eligible
- Required Certifications: BLS, CPR, & PALS
- Minimum Years Experience: 3; Pediatric experience can be in emergency
room, general outpatient pediatrics, or pediatric urgent care
- M-Sun | 9a-5p | No Call
- Typical Day: 9-5, seeing Level 4 & 5 pediatric patients who are not going to be admitted as inpatients
- Trauma Level: I
- No call after hours. Provider is expected to be in-house 9-5p
- Patient Mix: 50% Medical, 50% other
- Typical Cases seen: A mixture of medical and injuries. I.e. ENT, simple lacs (suture skills not required, but preferred), simple derm, cough, fever
- Procedures: Suturing skills are preferred
- EMR: Cerner
- Temp privileges available
- Avg Census: 3 - 4 patients per hour in fast track area, and 2 per hour in ED
