Job Description
Coverage Needs Details: Full in house 24/7 coverage; need 1 APP to provide 6 shifts a month and will need an additional candidate for bench coverage.
Trauma Level: NICU Level II
# of Beds/# NICU Beds: 30 beds / NICU 10 beds
Shift hours: 7a-7a, 24hr shift - required to stay onsite 24/7, there is a call room available
Schedule: Monday - Sunday
Typical Day: Rounding in AM (roughly takes 4-5hrs to complete) mostly on well newborns. On call for high-risk deliveries, neonatal resuscitation, and to provide support to the staff as needed for patients.
Procedures: Circumcisions, art lines, picc lines
Sub-specialty support available: OB, Anesthesia, Nursing
EMR: Core Cerner
Credentialing: 2 months | Emergency Privs available
Required Certifications/Cred Items: BC, ACLS, PALS, CRP, 5 years experience
