Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to become a part of our team! You will focus on providing high quality patient care as part of a healthcare team. This position is full time, with the option to be on call.
Ideal candidate is available from June - October 2022, with possibility of extension.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and treat acute, episodic or chronic psychiatric illnesses in adult and geriatric patients
- Prescribe all necessary medications and treatments
- Perform comprehensive physical and mental examinations of patients
- Develop and implement patient management policies and procedures
- Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities
- Communicate with collaborating physician or specialist regarding patient care
Qualifications:
- APRN Licensure for State of CT, or willingness to go through licensure process
- Ability to build rapport with patients
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong leadership qualities
