Responsibilities of the Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner: Conduct comprehensive psychiatric and physical evaluations for substance use disorders (SUDs) and co-occurring mental health conditions.Participate in the multidisciplinary treatment teams and work collaboratively with other disciplines in planning for the treatment of their patientsMedication management to include, but not limited to, Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT)Assess the clinical appropriateness of admissions and collaborate with the referral and intake department.Work with attending psychiatrists in caring for patients and perform psychiatric assessments, and provide ongoing care in both inpatient and outpatient settingsProvide individual therapy and/or medication management as needed for patients under their careCreate individualized plans using evidence-based practices, including therapy and medication management.Complete all documentation requirements legibly and within appropriate timeframesMaintains patient confidentiality and complies with all HIPAA standards.
