Inpatient Psychiatry locum position in Anderson, South Carolina (SC)

Sumo Medical Staffing is recruiting for an experienced Psychiatrist to work inpatient locum shifts in Anderson, South Carolina (SC) . Starting in May 2026, the role offers ongoing work with a competitive market rate and benefits.

The Psychiatry role:

Location: Anderson, South Carolina (SC)

Setting & Patient Mix:

• Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit
• 20 patients/day on average
• 60% Adult / 40% Geriatric

Coverage Dates: May 2026 (exact dates TBD).

Schedule varies based on census (not fixed)

Call is 1:4 (only one provider on call at a time)

Team consists of 4 physicians rotating call

1 NP on service whom the locum may supervise

Typical inpatient duties:, documentation, care planning, discharges, and controlled substance prescribing.

EMR: Epic

Requirements:

South Carolina license active and unrestricted

BC- Psychiatry

BLS/ACLS

Recent NPDB (within 30 days)
