Great opportunity for a Psychiatric/Mental Health Advanced Practice Registered Nursing (APRN) to serve geriatric patients in the Sarasota, Florida market.

Position: Physician Linc is seeking a Psychiatric/Mental Health APRN with excellent customer service skills. Candidate must possess excellent written and verbal communication, be a fast learner, and self-motivated. Ideal candidates work as a team player with other providers and support staff.

Job Description:

The registered nurse practitioner will take care of patients, perform diagnoses, administrate therapeutic care, and ensure all psychiatric and psychological needs of the patient are met. This also includes providing emotional care and support and encouraging the patient to feel better. Must continuously monitor patients and conduct analyses to determine the next steps and plans and will also determine if laboratory tests are needed or if a patient should be seen by a doctor. This candidate must be willing to round in several locations in Sarasota, Florida.

Qualifications needed:

• Psychiatry board certified ARNP with active FL medical license with prescription and DEA number.
• Clear on Level 2 screening
• Prior employer references are needed
• Post- Acute Experience
• Psychiatric experience 1 year preferred

Job responsibility: Commute to multiple post-acute care facilities every day, making rounds, communicating to patients and facility staff members, performing psychiatric evaluations and screening assessments on geriatric patients, making psychiatric medication recommendations, providing psychotherapy, order and interpret appropriate labs, make referrals to other physicians, answering telephone calls from the facilities for order clarifications, participate in an interdisciplinary team meeting, operating electronic medical records, baker acting the patient if needed. We will educate you on all the responsibilities and provide supervision for medication management.

Job timings: Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm / On-call schedule

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $100-120,000.00 year I Compensation is competitive and based on experience
