This opportunity offers flexible scheduling, a collaborative, physician-led environment, and the chance to make a meaningful impact in a high-acuity ICU program serving Southern Oregon and Northern California. Work alongside experienced intensivists, advanced practice providers, hospitalists, and multidisciplinary teams in a modern, 378-bed regional referral hospital.
Assignment Details
- Location: Medford, Oregon
- Start Date: Current openings starting January 2-27
- Duration: Ongoing need, potentially extending through summer for the assignment (approximately six months); additional sporadic shifts available
- Schedule: NP coverage needed for 12-hour day shifts, with potential day and night shift opportunities.
- Current openings for AP/NP coverage:
- January 4-10 and 18-24
- February 1-7 and 15-21
- March 1-7 and 15-21
- March 29 - April 3
- all 7 am - 7 pm
- Setting: Inpatient critical care at a 378-bed regional referral hospital and Level II Trauma Center, with a 20-bed ICU and a 10 - 15-bed CVICU
- Credentialing: approx 30-60 days
- EMR: EPIC
Clinical Details
- Model: Collaborative, physician-led critical care team working alongside experienced intensivists, hospitalists, advanced practice providers, and multidisciplinary staff.
- Specialty: Critical Care, Pulm/CC
- Patient Population & Case Types: High-acuity medical, surgical, cardiothoracic, trauma, and neurocritical care, as applicable to the provider's scope and facility needs.
- Clinical Responsibilities: ICU management and required critical care procedures. Must be comfortable with procedures.
- Coverage Needs: Physicians may cover both the ICU and CVICU depending on facility needs. NPs primarily cover the ICU but may provide support across both units.
- Volume & Capacity: 20-bed ICU and 10 - 15-bed CVICU; total coverage needs span approximately 30 - 35 beds.

Requirements
- Education/Fellowship/Licensure: ICU/CC, Pulm,CC
- Certifications: Certifications required by the provider's specialty and Asante Medical Staff Services.
- Experience: Current or recent experience in the relevant specialty required; at least one year of experience in a medical, surgical, cardiothoracic, trauma, or neuro ICU required.
- Procedures: Ability to perform required critical care procedures.
- Additional Requirements: NPDB, case logs, and other facility-specific requirements to be confirmed, as applicable.
Note: Advanced practice provider applicants will need to meet the applicable NP or other advanced practice provider licensure, certification, and experience requirements.
